The DeBarge family may be the most tragic musical family story ever. To think that so much horror was hidden behind such beautiful and talented individuals.

It’s comforting to know that the Debarges had some musical success and enjoyment-however brief-to offset the severe trauma and dysfunction they grew up with. I read Bunny’s book some years ago and I almost wish I hadn’t. Their father was a disturbed mf-er.
