Do we have the same parents? Because that sounds EXACTLY like something one of my parents would do. Granted, I am in my mid 40's so I really have no expectation of assistance, but even in my 20's, my parents were boot-strappers. If you couldn’t afford it on your own, so sad, too bad.

I think in this case, a teleprompter would have been her best friend. Live TV is tricky, even for seasoned vets like her, and I have seen the strangest stuff happen during live broadcasts, as well as people saying the craziest shit you can imagine.

Saw Anna Paquin in the Roots remake. She did remarkably well, considering that the mini-series itself was only okay.

I admit when I first read this a part of me was like “EWWWW”.

Apropos of nothing: does anybody but me notice how much she and Ron Claiborne HATE each other on GMA Weekend? I know this shouldn’t amuse me as much as it does, but every time he shades her or rolls his eyes when she is talking, I crack up laughing on the inside.
