That is not actually correct in Chicago nor are the majority of young people who end up with EM “juvenile delinquents.” As noted in the article, it is typical for EM to be used before a minor’s court date (so they are accused but not convicted of a crime). Many times, charges are dropped. And no, they are not charged…

It breaks my heart that the loss of her son was the catalyst for her getting into politics, but I (a resident of the next county over) have been rooting for her and hope that she won’t let this defeat stop her from staying involved in civic issues and running again.

I have to agree with Anne here. There are differences between these groups and it’s important to point those distinctions out. Also, I don’t think “white nationalist” is a “softer” term than “white supremacist” - using either term implies a racist ideology.

We are currently on path for another housing market crash, might be a good time to really hammer down on politicians to remove remaining bias in policies. That either is going to need enough of a public outcry that the current administration cannot ignore it, or electing for a new President.
