YouTube has temporarily suspended the channel that belongs to conservative commentator Candace Owens. For years, she has made a living disparaging Black folks at the Daily Wire. However, the two had parted ways earlier this year. The result has been Owens trying to stay relevant at any cost.
Her panic is to be expected as YouTube is now her bread and butter. Following the suspension, Owens hopped on social media to blame Zionists for troubles.
She believes that they were upset about the interview she shared last month with Kanye West in which he declared “Jewish people control the media.” The power Zionists have, according to Owens, was enough to get her kicked off the video platform for a week.
“There will be no show today, or at all this week. That’s because @YouTube has issued me a strike and a one week suspension for my sit down with Kanye,” Owens wrote on X.
“They also removed the interview as ‘hate speech’, as it was mass reported by Zionists. Their tactics never change...All who watched that podcast know that Ye was calm, and filled with love—speaking about the world coming together to defeat evil.”
Owens also insisted that “the world knows why I am being targeted” and that her account—which has 2.4 million followers—was also “demonetized.” In a statement to New York Post on Tuesday (Sept. 10), YouTube spokesperson Jack Malon confirmed the suspension.
“We’ve suspended channels associated with Candace Owens from the YouTube Partner Program following repeated violations of our policies, including our Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines and Community Guidelines,” Malon said.
The company also confirmed Owens’ demonetization claims. She has spewed ignorant and defamatory remarks for years, with antisemitism seemingly being the final straw for YouTube.
Her attempt at playing victim is hilarious. Quite frankly, Owens is responsible for her own demise.
