(The Root) — The Root's Young, Fabulous and Female series of events is returning to the Big Apple on Wednesday, Aug. 22, and we're pleased to announce that Tamron Hall, NBC News correspondent and host of NewsNation on MSNBC, will be moderating the discussion!
Join The Root and co-sponsor Lincoln for an evening of conversation and cocktails at the Openhouse Gallery in Manhattan.
The theme for the evening is "Inspiring Confidence," and the list of confirmed panelists includes green advocate and radio-show host Majora Carter; architect and global head of design and construction at MetLife, Pamela Abalu; Black Girls Rock! founder and DJ Beverly Bond; and A Belle in Brooklyn author and advice columnist Demetria L. Lucas, who is also a contributing editor for The Root.
It promises to be a great evening of networking and thought-provoking discussion focused on the career and life challenges that young black women face.
