Michael Jackson’s birthday is Aug. 29, so why not gift yourself with a piece of M.J. memorabilia in celebration? If you have some spare cash lying around, you may be interested in one of Jackson’s white, studded gloves up for auction.
With a starting bid of a mere $20,000, you could be the proud owner of a glove worn by the famous moonwalker. The Nate D. Sanders auction house received the glove from Paul Bedard, a friend of Jackson’s as well as an artist whose paintings covered the walls of Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
If you’re not into wearing a single glove throughout the day, maybe you’d be interested in a prototype of Jackson’s leather jacket from the “Bad” video. It’s a little bit cheaper than the glove, with a starting bid of $10,000.
The starting bids are just the tip of the iceberg and are sure to climb to even more astronomical prices. One of Jackson’s other gloves, worn during his first moonwalk, was sold for $420,000 in 2009, according to Today.
So break out the piggy banks and get yourself a piece of music memorabilia, or buy yourself a white glove and go crazy with a bedazzler—that’ll only cost about $20.
