When a given task isn’t hard, usually people will say, “It’s not rocket science.” But there’s at least one graduating senior who’s dedicated her education and upcoming career to the future of rocket science.
Meet Tiffany Davis, an aerospace-engineering major who graduates next month from Georgia Tech. Last week, Davis tweeted a senior photo with the simple hashtag #YesImaRocketScientist, and the rest is viral-photo history.

In a 2014 interview with Georgia Tech, Davis spoke about her love of technology.
“When I was 11, I asked for a circuit board for Christmas because I thought it was cool that this board could play such a huge role in how something works,” Davis said. “What can I say? I was just one of those engineering nerds. I still have that circuit board. It’s still really cool.”
Since 2014, Davis has been a part of Boeing’s Engineering Accelerated Hiring Initiative, and from her recent tweets, it seems as though she’s still working with a mentor from the company.
