A crazy scene unfolded in a Miami courtroom when a murder suspect tried to charge a grieving father of a murdered teenage girl during victim impact statements. The motive behind the killing will leave you even more appalled.

Adrian Crosby, 23, was involved in an April 2020 scheme over a pair of sneakers. Miami-Dade police said high school senior Andrea Camps Lacoya and her boyfriend, Sergio Berben, were looking to sell three pairs of rapper Kanye West’s shoes dubbed “Yeezy’s” which were valued at $935. The potential customers who showed interest in the sale were Crosby and his accomplice, George Walton.

When the group met for the sale, Walton asked to try on shoes. However, police said in the arrest report that Berben insisted he see the form of payment before releasing the foot gear, per NBC Miami. At that moment, Crosby was said to have approached Berben’s vehicle and fired multiple shots into the car, according to police. One shot grazed Berben’s arm but another fatally struck Andrea in the torso.

Berben drove off immediately but stopped on the side of the road to wait for the paramedics and police to arrive. A Miami-Dade police sergeant testified during Crosby’s murder trial that Andrea was going in and out of consciousness by the time they got to the scene. Andrea asked if she was going to be okay before she fell unconscious again, the officer said per the report.

Both Crosby and Walton were arrested in connection to Andrea’s killing. Walton was previously found guilty of first-degree murder and attempted murder in February. He was sentenced to life in prison. Crosby’s case just came to a close, being sealed with a guilty verdict on first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and attempted robbery charges.

Andrea’s family members took the stand last Tuesday during Crosby’s sentencing to grieve the loss of the daughter, dance team captain and aspiring nursing student. However, a comment from Andrea’s father provoked a shocking response from Crosby.

“You are the epitome of evil and darkness that this world represents. There’s only one place animals like you belong, and that’s in prison for the rest of your life. This court today confirmed once again that truth that we all seek: the truth that you are a fool, a liar, and a monster for what you did not only to Andrea but our whole entire family and friends,” said Alex Camps Lacoya, Andrea’s father.

‘What the f-ck you talking about bitch?” Crosby exclaimed while lunging from his chair angrily shouting at Andrea’s father. Correctional officers promptly dragged him away and when he was brought back into the courtroom, he was slammed with a double life sentence.
