Bruh, are they serious? A man who was accused of fleeing the scene of a killing he allegedly committed—and then flying overseas to Kenya, where he was arrested—allegedly escaped authorities again. On Wednesday, Kevin Adam Kinyanjui Kangethe was reportedly re-arrested on a murder charge.

Massachusetts State Police claim that Kangethe killed his girlfriend, Margeret Mbitu, back in November, and he reportedly left her remains in a car at Logan International Airport in Boston. He didn’t flee from the airport. The police said the 40-year-old then went on to board his plane to Kenya. However, once Kenyan law enforcement got the tip about him, he was arrested in January after being spotted at a nightclub, per NBC.

However, last week, the report said Kangethe escaped from Kenyan law enforcement once again.

A Nairobi police reported last week that Kangethe was visited by John Maina Ndegwa, a man claiming to be Kangethe’s lawyer. The four cops on duty then agreed to take Kangethe from out of his cell and place him in an office with the attorney.

Moments later, Kangethe was running from the precinct and cops reportedly couldn’t catch him. Meanwhile, at the station, Kangethe’s so-called attorney was arrested. Nairobi police said Kangethe tried to hide out at a relative’s house until they tracked him down again.

Had this been in the U.S., Kangethe might’ve been put underneath the jail for trying to escape. However, the authorities overseas were not without fault in Kangethe’s supervillain vanishing. The four officers on duty that day have reportedly been suspended and are facing disciplinary action and possibly, prosecution, according to NBC.

Kangethe still awaits an extradition hearing, which will determine whether he’ll be sent back to Massachusetts on a charge of first-degree murder.
