Never let it be said that Rihanna doesn’t know how to create a buzz. For the final event of New York Fashion Week, the multitalented bad gal knew Savage x Fenty’s Fall-Winter presentation had to shut it down; which she did in inimitable, all-inclusive fashion.

Not that we didn’t know ferocity was in store—what else would one expect from a woman who uses a clip of civil rights and black feminist icon Barbara Jordan to tease her latest lingerie collection?

“We know that beauty and brains are not mutually exclusive. We know that we can be as competent in the boardroom as the bedroom. We know that,” Jordan proclaimed in the first of Savage x Fenty’s two teasers.

Yes, we do know that.

But while the message may have been feminist, it was also futuristic; Savage x Fenty’s vision for Fall-Winter ‘18 was a lush and sexy trip to the Biosphere (with a heavy dose of the Garden of Eden), where models, dancers and beauties cast straight off the street converged in a verdant utopia created within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, wearing Savage x Fenty and nothing else.

Along with a cast that included all ages, sizes and ethnicities, top models Joan Smalls, Paloma Eissner, Leomie Anderson, Jazelle Zanaughtti, the Hadid sisters, show closer Duckie Thot and heavily pregnant Fenty muse Slick Woods all made appearances—the latter wearing pasties and a cutout bodysuit—while interpretive dancers writhed around a set full of greenery, greenhouses and laboratories (because, chemistry). And of course, all were ethereally made up in shimmering shades from Fenty Beauty.

But about that lingerie: For Fall-Winter ‘18, Savage x Fenty gets even more savage, adding animal prints to the mix in saturated hues like emerald, ruby and sapphire, along with their tamer nudes and fatigue colors. Leopard and zebra prints appeared in mesh, lace and satin in a variety of shapes and levels of exposure, from barely-there thongs and high-waisted briefs to robes and pajamas.

The best part? Unlike most of Fashion Week’s offerings, the entire FW ‘18 line was simultaneously made available on the Savage x Fenty site—at 25% off through Thursday ... because Rihanna loves you.
