Deborah Mathis of Black America Web is reporting that World Net Daily, the conservative news service, is at it again. The folks who brought you "Barack Obama Is Not American-Born" and "Barack Obama Is a Muslim Mole" are now trying to stir up a new one: Barack Obama's parents had a "sham" marriage.
Yes, just in time for Father's Day, the organization is informing us that Barack Obama Sr. was a rolling stone and that he married Stanley Ann Duncan only to keep his visa.
Like Mathis, we're trying to figure why this information even matters. What goes on in folks' marriages is their business. Who knows what is true, since neither of them is around to refute or corroborate the story?
Like many others, Barack Obama may have come from a troubled home, but what bearing does that have on his ability to serve as president? WND should change its name to WMD, because the hate it spews is a weapon of mass destruction.We've said it before and we'll say it again: There is plenty to critique about the president and his performance, without drumming up lies and circulating foolishness. Like many married couples, the Obamas weren't perfect. Now what?
