The two women worked at a New Jersey McDonald's. They didn't get along. Their beef allegedly turned violent after Latia Harris, 25, heard rumors that Catherine Ferreira had made jokes about her being romantically involved with another co-worker.

Harris is charged with confronting Ferreira on June 24 while still dressed in her work uniform and beating the mother in front of her 2-year-old son, New York's Daily News reports. Several bystanders videotaped the assault, but no one intervened. The video went viral after it was shared on social media sites.

For nearly a week, police in Salem, N.J., had been looking for Harris, and on Monday around 7 p.m. she turned herself in to police, the Daily News reports.

Ferreira, who the Daily News notes was treated for "a broken nose and bruises and lacerations to her face" wants to put the entire ordeal behind her.

"I feel sorry for her," she told the South Jersey Times. "She has two kids, and all of this—over what? Nothing."
