Chalk it up to holiday stress, but a Pennsylvania woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend after he began eating their Thanksgiving dinner without her, according to the Smoking Gun.
Jack-Lyn Blake, 47, of Wilkes-Barre was arrested Thursday on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats after reportedly attacking her boyfriend, Benjamin Smith, with a knife, police say, according to the court news site.
Wilkes-Barre police officers went to Blake’s residence Thursday at 6:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call about a stabbing, the report says. When officers arrived, Blake, who was leaving the home, allegedly announced, “I stabbed him.”
Smith, 45, was pressing a towel to a chest wound when police arrived. He was treated at a local hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
Smith told officers that he had argued with Blake, who, he said, was intoxicated and went upstairs to sleep, the report says. While Blake napped, Smith reportedly began eating the Thanksgiving meal. She became upset when she woke up and found him dining without her, the report says.
