Yahoo News is reporting that Amy Winehouse's goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield, 15, performed at the Big Chill Music Festival, closing her show with a cover of Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game." Mesfin Fekadu reports that Bromfield got "teary-eyed" when she performed the song, barely able to sing its last few words, though the crowd cheered her on.

"She was an amazing singer," Bromfield said. "She was not only my godmother, but she was my mentor and my boss as well." Bromfield, who is signed to Winehouse's label, Lioness Records, was backed by a five-piece band and dancers, performing songs from her two albums and singing mainly about boys and relationship troubles.

Bromfield's set included "Remember Our Love," "Yeah Right," and covers of Cee Lo Green's smash "Forget You" and the Shirelles' "Mama Said," her first single.

Although Winehouse died young, she left a legacy of great music. Winehouse's ability to identify amazing talent while here on earth has resulted in Dionne Bromfield's rise to stardom. The young girl with the raspy voice will continue to carry on Winehouse's musical legacy through her performance and words. We'll just pray that Bromfield continues to avoid the demons that led to Winehouse's premature death.
