It seems as though Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage is always fodder for gossip blogs. Every other month, one of them is allegedly calling it quits. Or the couple is supposedly in an open relationship. But in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Will Smith spoke about how he and Jada keep their marriage going.
“We’ve been asking ourselves [what’s the secret to marriage], and really, at the end of the day, it’s just not quitting,” Smith, 47, said Monday.
Will and Jada have been married since 1997 and together have two children, Willow and Jaden, as well as Will’s son, Trey, from his previous relationship.
Smith has admitted before that marriage isn’t easy. But if you want it to work, it’ll work. “You can’t expect it to be easy,” the Oscar nominee added. “It’s like our marriage was the most difficult, grueling, excruciating thing that we have ever taken on in our lives. And you know, we’re just not quitters.”
