I don’t fancy myself a chef, but I can hold my own in a kitchen and on the grill. Give me a recipe and I will probably not follow it to a T, but I will give it my own spin. Outside of a few minor food allergies, everything is fair game when it comes to cooking.

Everything but cooking food in a dishwasher.

Yes, you read that correctly. Along with certain people who advocate for three showers a week, it seems as though other people are now quite fond of cooking food in their dishwasher.

One article in particular gives step-by-step directions on how to cook salmon in the dishwasher. The writer referred to a chef who said he’d cooked salmon in dishwashers all over the world.

Let’s take a moment to think this through.

Seriously, if people wanted to cook using steam and hot water, there are other appliances for that. Sous vide cooking isn’t anything new, and if you’re a bargain shopper like I am, you’ll be able to find a kitchen appliance for that sole purpose.

Just in case you were wondering, here are a list of things that should go into your dishwasher:

1.  Dishes
2.  Pots
3.  Cutlery
4.  Cups
5.  Glasses

I just don’t understand why people want to eat out of something that’s used to clean dirty dishes. But to each his or her own.

I’m going to use my dishwasher for its intended purpose: decoration.
