Gabby Thomas and Jordan Chiles may be a decorated Olympic athletes, but now they can add yet another coveted feat to their names: Sports Illustrated models.
Appearing alongside fellow athletes like gymnast Suni Lee, golfer Nelly Korda and skier Eileen Gu for the 2025 Swimwear Issue, Thomas posed in a golden one piece and a blue one piece that read “voting is hot.” The pictures were shared on the official Sport’s Illustrated Instagram page with the caption: “When we say you’ll be sprinting to the stands when this comes out, we mean it.”
The 27-year-old — who has a master’s degree in epidemiology — helped set an American record earlier this summer when she competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics in the track and field category. She would go on to receive three gold medals in total: one for the 200m race, one alongside her Team USA mates for the 4 x 100m relay, and another for the 4 x 400m relay. Their combined efforts as a team cemented them as the second fastest team time ever in the latter race.
Now, after having won over the hearts of millions, she’s stunning on this coveted cover and fans are cheering her on once again.
“Smart and Fast = Champion,” wrote one user on Instagram.
“Yessss Gabyy! Love her on and off the track,” wrote another.
“Girlie has been killing it since claiming the triple gold in Paris. Love this for her,” said another user.
“Congratulations Gabby. You look fresh and amazing. Get your flowers,” another wrote.
Even though Chiles Bronze medal is currently in the middle of a kerfuffle, that wasn’t going to stop fans from showering her with love for her pictures either. In it, she strikes an amazing pose while donning a turquoise blue one piece bathing suits with sexy cut-outs.
“Another queen on the roster,” wrote on user on Instagram.
“This is YOU! Grace, strength and beauty!” said another.
“Jordan Chiles couldnt have slayed harder on the beach,” commented Sports Illustrated editor MJ Day.
