What is the world coming to when mental lightweights like Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd are the voice of reason on The View? On Monday's episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg defended Mel Gibson, saying that "he is not a racist." What we heard sounded like racism. Getting "raped by a pack of N@#%^%" sounds racist to us. Goldberg uses her decades-long friendship with Gibson, and the fact that he has spent time at her house, as proof that he isn't racist. Uh huh. She also talked about how when someone is a drunk, they say crazy things all of the time. Uh huh. Sounds like an extreme case of denial to us. Her boy is foul at best and a racist at worst. Sometimes you've got to call a spade a spade — pun intended.
