TikTok user Reesa Teesa has gone viral on social media after her 50-part series “Who TF Did I Marry” captured the internet’s attention. Teesa’s story has many twists and turns, with her ultimately describing her former partner as a “pathological liar.” In total, it spans more than 10 hours—which includes an hour-long live chat.

The Atlanta-based woman claimed that she met a man who she refers to as “Legion” back in March 2020 on Facebook Dating (they also matched on Hinge). Things started off promising during their first date when “Legion” helped Teesa with car repairs, but things took a drastic turn.

Teesa was under the impression that her love interest was a wealthy former arena football player who worked at Apple during the off-season. That was before he moved to Atlanta from California to become the VP of a condiment company.

The couple planned on buying a home together during the pandemic, with “Legion” assuring Teesa he had numerous savings accounts and investments that would cover them financially. They married January 2021 but divorced by June of that same year after she realized that everything her spouse told her was a lie.

In reality, “Legion” worked at a temp company as a forklift driver. Teesa also discovered that he was using fake social security numbers, falsified bank documents for a deal on a home that never panned out and was on probation for things like criminal trespassing and impersonation of an officer. “Legion’s” family no longer speaks to him because of his lying.

Teesa also stated that “Legion” said he and his ex-wife lost a child, but that also wasn’t true. “I need to forgive myself; maybe I shouldn’t say forgive myself for being dumb, but definitely forgive myself, for you would rather be right and married than be obedient and patient,” Teesa said in one of her live chats.

She shared that all of “Legion’s” phone conversations with friends and family never really happened. Internet sleuths managed to find the real “Legion,” whose name is Jerome. They also broke down how Teesa gained a million followers in a week. She has insisted that she shared her story as a cautionary tale.

Hopefully, Teesa can find some peace now that this ordeal is over.
