Members of Towson University's White Student Union plan to begin patrolling the Maryland campus to protect students from would-be attackers, union founder Matthew Heinbach told the school newspaper Towerlight. He says the efforts will be colorblind, assuring the publication, "If we see a white person commit a crime against a person who is not white, we're going to assist the person who was attacked every time."
But that doesn't quite square with a recent WSU blog focused on what it called the school's "black crime wave":
The frequent robberies, sexual assaults, and acts of vandalism at Towson University are not often reported in the local media. For those who are not Towson students it seems hard to fathom that every single day black predators prey upon the majority white Towson University student body. White Southern men have long been called to defend their communities when law enforcement and the State seem unwilling to protect our people.
White Southern men taking the punishment of perceived "black predators" into their own hands? We can't think of any time in American history when that's been anything short of terrifying and illegal.
Keep in mind, it's not only on college campus that the WSU believes white Americans face grave risks because of their color. As the Huffington Post reports, the group recently got attention at a now-infamous Conservative Political Action Conference panel. There, member Scott Terry said that Republican Party outreach toward black conservatives was being sought "at the expense of young, white, Southern males like myself," and "I think my demographic is being systematically disenfranchised." He added that he'd "be fine" with a society where blacks were subservient to whites.
