Alex Michael Ramos, of Georgia, is yet another white nationalist gaining attention after the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va., but unlike many of his fellow white racist counterparts, Ramos says he’s not racist because ... he’s “Spanish”!
Ramos, who bragged about assaulting Deandre Harris in a Charlottesville parking garage, seems to feel that because he’s Puerto Rican, he’s not racist.
“I need to say some shit about the UTR, and I need to say some shit about racism, ’cause I’m not fucking racist, I’m Spanish,” he said on the Facebook Live video. “I’m Puerto Rican. Yeah, there are some Puerto Rican racist people out there, but I’m not one of them. And I need people to know that shit.”
At the 27:00 mark in the video above, a Facebook commenter informed Ramos that he has black ancestry because of his Puerto Rican background. Ramos went on to say that he’s Taino, and that his history goes back 12,000 years. Toward the end of the video, at the 50:48 mark, Ramos said he has an Egyptian friend and that he’s not racist.
Well, that’s definitely a spin on “I have black friends.”
So, once again, another white supremacist has proved that he’s one fry short of a Happy Meal. Once Ramos’ cover was blown and his identity was discovered, he immediately deleted his Facebook, as if the internet ever forgets anything:
And there are always screenshots readily available:
Something tells me that Ramos, just like Christopher Cantwell, is somewhere sobbing behind closed doors, or just evading law enforcement.
