The White House says that the $862 billion stimulus bill has been better for the economy than previously reported. Updating its estimate of the impact the controversial law has had, the White House now projects that the vast spending act has created or saved between 2.5 million and 3.6 million jobs. A growing body of independent analysts support the White House's assertion, reporting that the law boosted jobs and kept people off of the unemployment line. Wow, there is a silver lining in that very dark cloud.
