Phylicia Simone Barnes was visiting family in Baltimore over the holiday weekend when she went missing on Dec. 28. Homicide detectives in Baltimore are involved in the case, and a nationwide search is being conducted.
Barnes was a promising student. She was scheduled to graduate early and had desires to attend Towson University.
"I know she's traumatized right now. She's scared out of her mind right now. She's a little innocent girl who does not do any harm to anyone," said Barnes' mother, Janice Sallis.
