When the Dollar's Down, Head for the Dollar Menu

I woke up this morning, with little time to pack a lunch, and thought about what I would eat. Thoughts of a tasty and healthy lunch evaporated as I counted the four bucks left in my wallet. My dejection, however, was curbed as I learned that I’m not the only one turning to the Dollar Menu. Today, the Labor Department reported that the Consumer Price Index fell by 1 percent between September and October. Americans are cutting costs and turning to Mickey D’s, which stands alone with its impressive third quarter results, amidst surging unemployment and crumbling banking and auto industries. In these times, I’m lucky enough to still have a job.
