A Florida woman has finally learned her fate after a drunken hide-and-seek game with her boyfriend turned into a horrifying, deadly scene. Sarah Boone, 47, was ordered by an Orlando judge Monday to serve a sentence of life in prison for her role in the terrifying events the night of Feb. 24, 2020.

State Attorney Andrew Bain said Boone was with her boyfriend, Jorge Torres Jr., at their Winter Park apartment. Boone said during her trial the two of them were playing hide-and-seek while under the influence of alcohol. During the game, she thought it was funny that he would be able to fit inside a suitcase, as he was only 5-feet-2.

However, things took a dark turn when Boone admitted she zipped the suitcase closed once he crawled inside. In two frightening videos recorded by Boone, Torres appears to struggle inside the suitcase as it wobbled from side to side.

In a worried, muffled voice, he’s heard calling out “Sarah” repeatedly.

“For everything you’ve done to me. F*** you,” she responded, while chuckling behind the camera.

“Sarah, I can’t f****ng breathe,” Torres pleads from inside the suitcase.

“Yeah, that’s what you did when you choked me,” Boone responded. “That’s on you.”

Torres continued calling her name in desperation as she chuckled while still recording. In a second video, it appeared Torres knocked the suitcase over as it was lying on another side. He called her name one more time before going silent and the video ended.

Boone testified that off camera, he eventually managed to get his hand out of the suitcase but she hit his hand with a baseball bat causing him to retreat back inside the luggage.

Boone testified that she left him inside the suitcase overnight believing he could eventually get himself out. However, she found him dead the next day and called the police.

Despite arguing that she acted in self-defense of Torres’ alleged abusive patterns over the course of their relationship, Boone was found guilty of second-degree murder by an Orange County jury in October. Now, she’s being ordered to spend the rest of her life behind bars.
