Sean “Diddy” Combs’ had a very different New Year’s Eve this year. The disgraced rapper spent his holiday season at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting prosecution on federal sex crime charges, as we have reported. Now, days after the holiday, we know what meal the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO had while ringing in the new year on the 31st.
Diddy’s New Year’s Eve meal consisted of steak and cheese subs on hot dog buns, baked potatoes, green beans and margarine, according to a prison menu obtained by People. On New Year’s Day, the rapper was served “a chicken sandwich or chickpea burger, pinto beans and rice, corn and mayonnaise.”
According to the obtained menus, the week of January 6 will be much less involved than the special holiday menus. Breakfast, served at 6 a.m., consists of fruit, cereal, breakfast cake, and skim milk, while lunch, served at 11 a.m., “ranges from hamburgers, tater tots and fruit.”
For dinner, the menus typically include “chicken or tofu fried rice, black beans, carrots and whole wheat bread and chicken or chickpea tacos with cilantro rice, pinto beans, salsa and corn.”
Ahead of Christmas, Diddy was “trying to stay positive,” as we reported, as it marked his first holiday season without his children Quincy (33), Justin (30), Christian (26), Chance (18), twins D’Lila and Jessie (18) and Love (2).
As we reported, Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in by federal authorities in Manhattan in September of last year on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution. The rapper also faces various allegations against him, including sexual abuse, physical abuse, bribery and various drug offenses, outside of the federal charges.
Diddy pleaded not guilty and was denied bail for his federal charges. He is set to return to court on March 17, ahead of his federal trial set for May.
