Wendy Williams just can’t catch a break. The legendary radio and talk show personality was recently diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. In addition, her shocking documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams” aired last month on Lifetime and left fans with more questions than answers.
Now, her ex-husband Kevin Hunter is demanding almost two years worth of unpaid spousal support from Williams. Hunter filed the motion in the New Jersey Superior Court on March 12. In the document, his team of lawyers state that Williams owes Hunter the money as part of their 2020 divorce.
Currently, Williams has a court-appointed legal guardian who is responsible for regulating her financial and health matters so those closest to her won’t take advantage of the star’s vulnerable state.
However, Hunter has no problem seeking money from Williams. “This is an emergent matter because I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses and having been without this income for 23 months has affected me greatly,” he explained in the filing.
“I also respectfully request that the court compel the Plaintiff to sign the Qualified Domestic Relations Order for the AFTRA Retirement Plan or in the alternative appoint me an Attorney in Fact so that I can execute the document if the Plaintiff does not sign the document within seven (7) days of this Court’s Order,” the filing also said.
“I would not have to file this motion if the plaintiff did not stop my severance payments and if the plaintiff would have signed the qualified domestic relations order for the AFTRA retirement plan.” Whether Hunter will receive the unnamed sum remains unknown.
Williams’ niece, Alex Finnie, told People last month that the former talk show host is now residing in a facility that will aid in her cognitive functioning.
What Do you think? Does he deserve any money from Wendy?
