Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson and her 50-part TikTok series went viral beyond belief. Now, she literally turning her pain into gold. Johnson has officially signed with the prominent Los Angeles-based talent agency Creative Arts Agency for representation.
Her storytelling skills were showcased with the popular “Who TF Did I Marry?” series, with each installment of it racking up at least one million views (the first part received 23 million views). In total, Johnson now has 1.8 million followers and 17 million likes between all of her social media channels.
In “Who TF Did I Marry?,” she chronicles her marriage and inevitable divorce to a man she calls “Legion” whom she said was a “pathological liar” and “the United Nations of red flags.” “Legion” allegedly lied about everything from his job to deaths in his family to his Social Security number. He also cheated, which led to their relationship to being very short-lived.
After the series ended, Johnson went live on TikTok and later uploaded the live stream as a 20-part series along with merchandise made by fans. She has been profiled by The Cut and People and appeared on talk shows like “Good Morning America” and the “Tamron Hall Show.”
“It was actually hard to do the entire series,” she said to The Cut. “You’re putting yourself out there in a very vulnerable way.” By signing with CAA, Johnson’s story may come to life on the big screen.
In 2015, Aziah King’s 148-tweet X/Twitter thread inspired the 2021 movie “Zola.” In addition, the true crime podcast “Dirty John” was turned into a show in 2018 with the same name for Bravo. Johnson is also represented by CLAY Agency and attorney Omara Harris—we can’t wait to see what her future brings.
