It’s no secret that Donald Trump has a problem with confident, assertive women who aren’t interested in his nonsense. Following Tuesday’s appearance by Vice President Kamala Harris, he once again turned his attention to the hosts of “The View.”
During a rally in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, instead of showing concern about the hurricane hitting Florida, the former president used his time to attack “View” co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin.
He recalled a time when the EGOT winner performed her stand up comedy act at one of his casinos. Apparently, he didn’t appreciate the adult nature of her routine, saying, “Her mouth was so foul, every word out of her mouth was like the F word…She was so filthy, dirty, disgusting. Oh, what a loser she is.”
A completely unapologetic Whoopi confessed that she was “filthy,” a fact that was clear to Trump before she was booked at the casino.
“I was filthy and I stand on that fact. And you knew that when you hired me,” she said. “I headlined, babe, at your casino which I might have continued to play had you not run it into the ground. How dumb are you that you hired me four times and you didn’t know what you were getting? How dumb are you?”
She also reminded him that she “never grabbed anybody by their genitalia,” and that a racy stand up routine is a far cry from what he’s been accused of.
“There’s a difference between people who assault other people and people who say words you don’t want little kids saying in church,” the “Sister Act” star said.
He insulted Goldberg’s co-host by calling her questions for Harris “dumb,” saying, “I’ve watched her over the years…that is one dumb woman.”
Sunny used a dry, sarcastic tone to read a “statement.” thanking the Republican presidential nominee for all the crazy content he’s given them, adding that her legal expertise has become invaluable with him in the public eye.
“Donald Trump, I want to thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis,” Hostin said. “You help us do our jobs and I’m so appreciative. Because of people like you, a former prosecutor and legal expert can become a fixture on a show like this, and again, I’m so grateful.”
She went on to get a dig in about his ongoing legal troubles, adding, “I admit, I may not have spent as much time in a courtroom as you have. I was also recognized with a special achievement award by the Department of Justice. You remember the Department of Justice, right? It’s the agency that’s been pursuing you for decades.”
She wrapped up her remarks by hilariously inviting him on the show, but reminding him she also used to be a prosecutor.
“And like Madame Vice President Kamala Harris, I’ve had a history of prosecuting sex offenders, so thank you for keeping people like us in business,” she said. “And as for dumb questions, you’re always welcome to come here and answer some if sitting so close to a prosecutor won’t make you nervous. I’ll even give you a free View mug, not to be confused though with a mug shot.”
You’d think he’d learn to stop attacking people with professional comedy writers on staff. Although these constant takedowns by badass Black women are hilarious.
