During his interview Friday on The Wendy Williams Show, Tyrese Gibson revealed that we'll be seeing him on this new season of Empire. However, the R&B singer and actor made it very clear that his intentions regarding the show are about more than just booking another acting gig.

He's missing his favorite TV girl: Taraji P. Henson.

"Me and Taraji, we gotta do what we do. I'm coming to get my girl back," Tyrese said to cheers from the audience. Tyrese and Henson played boyfriend and girlfriend in the 2001 hood classic Baby Boy. The feature film was Henson's first major role.

"Really? So you're playing a love interest?" Williams asked Tyrese.

"All them dudes on [Empire] kissing on my girl. I'm kind of done with seeing all ot that," Tyrese joked.

Tyrese and Henson always spoke about the chemistry they had while filming Baby Boy, so it'll be nice to see those two together on-screen again—and also see how Tyrese's character plans to woo Cookie.
