Republican Rep. Allen West of Florida said in a recent interview that while he's not in charge of who will join presumptive nominee Mitt Romney on the Republican presidential ticket, he knows how he'll decide whether to run, when and if he's asked. "The first thing I have to do is to pray about it to God to make sure that he ordains that and make sure it's not just about man," he noted, adding that "if someone believes that I can work at a capacity at another level … I'll pray about it."
Just slightly less deferential regarding non-Christian religions, he went on to answer questions about the threat of "Islamic totalitarianism" and "stealth jihad."
