The Big Three is back for Season 4!
To celebrate Randall (Sterling K. Brown), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) recent 39th birthday, NBC decided to drop the trailer for their biggest drama, This Is Us.
“It’s so strange, isn’t it? How just like that a complete stranger can become such a big part of your story,” Rebecca (Mandy Moore) tells Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) during one of the show’s many flashbacks.
“It’s actually kind of terrifying, you know, how a single cross with one person you’ve never met can change everything,” she concludes.
Damn.
This show really makes you think of the significance of the mundane, huh? And cry. Cry a lot, in fact.
This Is Us is, essentially, an ensemble drama so of course there’s more names to add to Season 4!
Per the press release:
NEW CAST:
Asante Blackk

M. Night Shyamalan
Julian Silva
Auden Thornton
Nick Wechsler
RETURNING CAST:
Griffin Dunne
Tim Jo
Ron Cephas Jones
Elizabeth Perkins
Phylicia Rashad
Caitlin Thompson
It’s really cool to see Blackk being booked and busy, following his breakout performance in Ava DuVernay’s When They See Us. I’m interested to see what role he plays in the Pearson saga. And yes, I did a triple-take when I saw Shyamalan’s face. That guy really is the king of the most jarring cameos.
Along with Ventimiglia, Moore, Brown, Metz and Hartley, This Is Us stars Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jon Huertas, Hannah Zeile, Niles Fitch, Logan Shroyer, Mackenzie Hancsicsak, Parker Bates, Faithe Herman, Eris Baker and Lyric Ross.
“If you think you know what’s coming next you don’t know us,” the teasing trailer concludes. Hurry up and (re)take my Tuesday nights!
This Is Us kicks off its fourth season Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. on NBC. Get your wholesale Kleenex at Amazon to prepare. You’ve got time if you’ve got Prime.
