Now it makes sense that Hillary Clinton was on the set of Scandal the other day, just kiki-ing it up with the gladiators over at Olivia Pope & Associates.
Clinton snagged Kerry Washington's endorsement last year, and now the actress is joined by a few other female powerhouses at ShondaLand who are backing Clinton's presidential bid, too. That includes the head honcho herself, Shonda Rhimes, and two other female leads in ShondaLand shows: How to Get Away With Murder's Viola Davis and Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo.
Washington, Davis and Pompeo say a portion of the following statement in the ad: "Every day I wake up and play a brilliant, complex, overqualified, get-it-done woman who obsessively fights for justice. Who cares. Who gives a voice to the voiceless. Who gets knocked down and always gets back up." Rhimes chimes in, talking about the type of female characters she creates.
"The real world has Hillary Clinton," each of them says at the end.
Clinton thanked the women of ShondaLand for their support.
Looks like the #ImWithHer movement is going strong.
