The trailer for the Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart biopic that will air on Lifetime next month is out, and it looks like the film will stay true to the singer's story. The trailer shows glimpses of the rocky journey that the sultry-voiced icon has been on while in the music industry.
We see Lex Scott Davis, the actress who plays Braxton, being rushed to the emergency room. Braxton has had a slew of autoimmune health problems and was diagnosed with lupus.
We also see glimpses of Davis as Braxton onstage with her signature pixie haircut, reminding viewers that she took the industry by storm with her signature sound.
According to Shadow and Act, the movie will air Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. Braxton is a producer on the project, so, unlike the Aaliyah Lifetime biopic, this one should be both revealing and authentic.
