America’s favorite fiery Texan is back sticking it to right yet again. At a hearing called to lambast the Biden-Harris campaign, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) flipped the script and silenced several Republicans on the stand.
The House Oversight Committee Chair, Kentucky Congressman James Comer, began the hearing titled “A Legacy of Incompetence: Consequences of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Policy Failures” off with pointed criticism. He called the current administration a complete failure. “Everything [President] Joe Biden and [Vice President] Kamala Harris has touched has failed,” Comer said.
When the Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, took the stand and said Biden’s Broadband Equity Access and Deployment program “is being used to pursue a climate change agenda, DEI requirements, technology biases, price controls, preferences for government-run networks, and rules that will undoubtedly lead to wasteful overbuilding,” it didn’t sit right with Rep. Crockett.
And boy did she let him have it. During her time, she addressed Carr’s DEI concern directly. “This election is the best example of why y’all are so afraid of diversity, equity and inclusion,” she said. “Because then you can’t have a simple-minded, under-qualified white man somehow end up ascending.”
Obviously, the “simple-minded, under-qualified white man” Crockett was referring to was GOP nominee Trump, who appointed Carr to his position in 2017. “Instead, you have to pay attention to the qualified Black woman on the other side,” Crockett concluded.
The Texas representative’s words should come as no surprise. Crockett is known for her quick-witted but professional and perfectly timed pop offs, and the Sept. 19 hearing was no different.
Crockett also accused Comer of “wasting taxpayer dollars,” calling the committee meeting an “example of what waste, fraud, and abuse looks like.” According to her, “The only reason we’re having this hearing is because somebody got their feelings hurt in a debate.” Most polls after the recent ABC presidential debate between Trump and Harris ruled the Democratic nominee the clear winner over her opponent.
“Next time, tell your big boy to show up and be ready to handle the woman in the room who hopefully will become the next president of the United States,” Crockett said to Comer.
Crockett went on to call out Carr and Project 2025, which she points out refers to Trump several times, despite the former president insisting he has no involvement with the GOP-led playbook for a future Republican presidency.
From her literally reclaiming her time on the floor to her much-needed Trump jabs, this hearing is just another reminder of why we love Crockett so much!
