"All the single mamas, raise your hand."
That's how T.I. walked into an Atlanta Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve because he planned to pay the tabs of "unexpected Christmas shoppers," he said in a video posted on YouTube.
But T.I. didn't just pay the women's current tabs. He walked from register to register and asked several mothers if there were things they wanted to get for themselves or their children, but didn't, because they couldn't afford it.
"Hey, you got the stuff that you're trying to get, that you couldn't give him?" T.I. asked one mother standing in front of her son.
"Go get it," T.I. said repeatedly to customer after customer, mother after mother.
He pulled out stacks of cash and paid off entire Christmas purchases, which included a lot of flat-screen TVs and Xboxes.
Then he went to a second Wal-Mart location and did the same thing.
"Was there anything that you wanted to get that you couldn't get?" he asked one woman at the register.
"Come on, let's go get it," he said, as he escorted the woman to what looked like a toy truck for children.
