Taraji P. Henson demonstrated Sunday night at the 2015 Emmy Awards that she's the type of chick who, if her friends are winning, feels like she's winning, too.
She jumped up in excitement, gasped, screamed out from the stage and ran up and gave bear hugs to the brown girls who picked up trophies that night: Viola Davis, Regina King and Uzo Aduba.
But it was King's win that made for one of the most memorable Henson moments because the Empire actress was a presenter for the award King won.
"I really wasn't expecting it […] it's so special that Taraji gave it to me," King said during an interview backstage with Entertainment Tonight after her win.
King described how she had had a hunch that her name might be called after hearing Henson let out a faint gasp before saying the winner's name.
"I was stunned, because that's my girl. When she [gasped], that's when my heart started beating fast," King said, saying she was thinking: "'She's gotta be doing that for me, it's gotta be me!'"
"I had no idea [Taraji] was gonna be doing that category!" King confessed.
Check out the moment when Henson says King's name after opening the envelope, and the epic "Yaasss!!!" that Henson screams from the stage after putting the award in her friend King's hand.
Golden moments of sister-girl power.
