Airports are inherently chaotic, and apparently they serve as the perfect breeding ground for Karens to act out. Earlier this last year, there was one being downright rude to a Spirit Airlines employee at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Back in 2023, there was the infamous viral Karen who told passengers on a flight waiting to depart from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport: “I don’t give two f**ks but I’m telling you right now, that motherf**ker back there is not real!”
Now, there’s another example of an airline Karen who went on a racist tirade. This woman directed her ire at an Indian-American family. In a video recorded by photographer Pervez Taufiq that has gone viral on X, the woman is shown acting out on a United Airlines shuttle bus in Los Angeles last week.
In the clip, the woman — who is yet to be identified — is seen wearing a green shirt and sticks up both of her middle fingers at Taufiq as he began filming.
‘Your family is from India, you have no respect for the rules, you think you can push everyone... that’s what you think you are,” she says to Taufiq. “You guys are fu****g crazy.”
“Indian people are crazy?” Taufiq asks. “You told me to have some more curry, right?”
“I’m going to record your f******g tandoori a**... your tandoori stinky a**,’ the woman replies.
Taufiq ultimately requested that security remove the woman, and she quipped: “She doesn’t care that I’m a racist, you’re racist towards me. I’m American.”
As they continue to go back and forth over who can be classified as American, a United employee enters the shuttle and starts talking to the woman while bystanders yell for the woman to be taken off the bus. Taufiq and another passenger also said the woman was drunk.
Taufiq shared the shocking incident on Instagram. “I’m thankful United @united got her off the bus ultimately and a few fellow passengers stood up for us,” he wrote.
“Blown away these types of people still exist. As photographers we have seen a lot of [sic], but this is one we could have done without.”
