When law-enforcement officers make an effort to involve themselves in the community they police, it makes their job easier and the residents feel more comfortable to be around them. And that’s exactly what happened when an officer in Maryland’s Prince George’s County joined folks Saturday at Victorious Life of Faith Church in District Heights, Md., for some double Dutch.
Cpl. Alan Jones has some skills. From his crisscross moves to actual jumping jacks, you can tell this isn’t his first time at the rodeo. The women turning the rope were amazed; they probably didn’t know what to expect.
Jones, who moonlights as a Realtor in Maryland, posted the video to his Facebook page, and it has already racked up close to 300,000 views.
One event attendee posted on a local news site’s Facebook fan page that Jones fit right in with everyone. "He talked with everybody, he enjoyed the music, he ate, and enjoyed himself,” Renee Hubb stated.
