A video circulating on social media allegedly showing actor/director Michael B. Jordan crash his Ferrari might not be as straight-forward as police initially thought. According to TMZ, a newer video shows the “Creed III” star crashing his blue Ferrari into a parked Kia SUV, and LAPD officials suspect he was allegedly racing at the time of the crash, which sparked an investigation into the incident.

As previously reported by The Root, Jordan’s Ferrari was involved in a “traffic collision” on Dec. 2, around 11:35 p.m. at Sunset Boulevard and Beachwood Drive in Hollywood. No one was injured or charged in the accident, and police “took an accident report at the scene.” According to officials, Jordan wasn’t under the influence and wasn’t cited by police. The “Without Remorse” star also “wasn’t ‘suspected to be a factor in the crash.’”

Both cars were “heavily damaged” in the crash, but now the new footage has police taking another look.

In the video, Jordan’s blue Ferrari appears to be riding side-by-side with a red Ferrari. If police find that the “Black Panther” star was driving the car when it crashed, Jordan might be re-interviewed by police to get his recollection of that moment, TMZ reports. If it is indeed found that the crash was the result of racing, criminal charges could be filed.

This news comes as Jordan wraps up a successful 2023. He received positive reviews for his third outing as Adonis Creed, and is looking to expand the “Rocky/Creed” universe into more stories. He’s already in talks to direct and star in “Creed 4” and is attached to star in the highly-anticipated “I Am Legend 2.”
