TMZ caught up with Lamar Odom to get the scoop on what happened between him and his soon-to-be ex-wife during a recent confrontation. But it's what Odom had to say about how the gossip site covers black men and rappers that's more telling.

"I know what your company is about. I know what they're doing to brothers," Odom said to a TMZ cameraman.

He went on to suggest that the gossip site has a vendetta against hip-hop artists and that the site has an interest in perpetuating feuds between rappers.

"I know what y'all are doing to the rappers. I know you want 'em beefin'. I know you want 'em arguing," he continued.

Odom also argued that TMZ doesn't treat white entertainers the same way.

"Y'all don't do Leo [DiCaprio] like that. You don't do Brad [Pitt] like that. Y'all don't do them like that," he said.

Odom has been capturing news headlines in recent years for allegedly being addicted to crack cocaine, his highly publicized split from his reality-TV-show-star wife and his departure from professional basketball, both in the NBA and overseas. He spoke about how TMZ has been dogging him out in the press, and he's tired of it.

"Y'all have discredited me, beat me down, took my confidence, took everything away from me; you will not do it again," he vowed. Check out the exchange below:
