Jimmy Fallon doesn’t hide the fact that he’s a fan of hip-hop and pop culture, so it makes complete sense that while The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is being taped in Los Angeles this week, he has paid homage to what’s considered one of the best black sitcoms.
Fallon, and the Roots, flawlessly re-created the opening of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Shot by shot, the opening sequence of the popular sitcom was given the Fallon treatment. And there was even a cameo by everyone’s favorite cousin, Carlton Banks. With his signature sweater wrapped around his neck, Alfonso Ribeiro made a brief appearance in the video.
But that wasn’t the only highlight of Monday night’s episode. Fallon also aired a video with NBC’s Brian Williams “lip-synching” to Snoop Dogg’s “Who Am I?” OK, so Williams wasn’t really lip-synching, but it was yet another one of The Tonight Show's great video mashups.
And just in case you missed it, check out Fallon, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell taking on some of today’s hit music in their own lip-synching battle.
