Things escalated quickly at a Florida Publix grocery store after a customer was allegedly rude and used racial slurs toward a deli worker while ordering dinner during the Sept. 16 incident, WFLA reports

According to the report, 59-year-old Raleigh Harris was ordering a chicken-wings dinner at a Temple Terrace Publix store when he was allegedly rude to the worker behind the counter and used racial slurs. Another employee told him to calm down, and another customer, Leon Lightbody, confronted Harris, according to the New York Daily News; the situation deteriorated from there.

Harris “got really outraged and told [the employee] to mind his f—king business and kinda threw the n-word in there a few times,” Jessica Jordan, a customer who witnessed the entire situation, told WFLA.
