A French television station has released hotel security video of the day New York hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo accused former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of rape.

The video, which has Kahn's lawyers wondering whether Diallo set up the French politician, shows her re-enacting the alleged sexual assault to two men.

Toward the end of the video, two hotel workers are seen in a room jumping up and down in celebration. It's not clear if they are celebrating because of what Diallo said or because of something else.

Strauss-Kahn's attorneys claim that the dance shows that their client was being railroaded by Diallo. Diallo's attorney, Kenneth Thompson, disregarded their comments and said that her actions show that she was the victim of a crime because she immediately alerted police after leaving the hotel room. The video began with Kahn leaving the hotel 20 minutes after the alleged crime.

For anyone to gain anything from this video is ludicrous. The hotel workers' celebration probably has nothing to do with the rape case. In the end, the only two people who know what happened in that room are Diallo and Strauss-Kahn. And while he was cleared of charges, this video unnecessarily shines the spotlight on a woman who claims that she was raped, and hotel employees who had nothing to do with the alleged crime.
