Attention, all the young, black and gifted women in Houston: The Root’s Young, Fabulous and Female series continues in Houston Oct. 15 with moderator Devi Dev, a No. 1-rated personality heard daily on iHeartMedia’s 93.7 The Beat, as well as a television pop-culture correspondent for CBS affiliate KHOU.

Join The Root and Toyota for a night of networking with some of the most powerful black female entrepreneurs in business, media, health and politics. There will also be a panel discussion—confirmed panelists include Joy Sewing, fashion and beauty editor for the Houston Chronicle; Carla Lane, CEO of LaneStaffing; plastic surgeon Dr. Camille Cash; Pastor Suzette Caldwell of Windsor Village United Methodist Church; and Tera Roberson, special-projects producer at KPRC.

The evening promises to be a lively, thought-provoking conversation about the challenges that black women face and how to overcome them.
