Country music sensation Shaboozey may not have gone home with the gold at the 2025 Grammys, but he just might next year if he incorporates some notes from an unlikely source of inspiration.

The Nigerian-American singer sat at the top of music charts thanks to his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy), which lasted in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 19 weeks. But his name was also boosted in popularity thanks to his contributions to Beyonce’s Album of the Year-winning project “Cowboy Carter.” Speaking about his experience collaborating with Bey, Shaboozey told E! News on Sunday that while he was invited to watch the “Texas Hold’Em” singer work on the album for three days prior to them getting in the booth together, it was her eldest daughter Blue Ivy Carter that served as an additional source of creativity.

“Blue [was] giving notes,” Shaboozey explained. “She’s giving notes, She’s a young director. Young visionary, young filmmaker. I can see it ‘cause I direct, too. When I saw her making shoot ideas and making scene changes, it was just like, it was so cool to see them being creative.”

Or was Blue giving notes for Bey for her recently announced, upcoming Chitlin’ Circuit tour? As we all saw in the “Renaissance Film,” Blue definitely isn’t shy when it comes to making sure certain songs are on the set list and certain looks are up to par as it relates to her mother’s performances. Hearing Shaboozey basically corroborate what we’ve already known to be true—Blue is the real mastermind behind Bey’s grandeur—really puts a smile on our faces.
