Beyoncé and Jay-Z are known for being extremely private people. They control every aspect of how confirmed, verified information about their lives is released. However — like the rest of the world — when it comes to social media, they can’t always control the young people in their life.
Over the weekend, TikTok went crazy with the possibility that Solange Knowles’ son Julez had posted a video from the inside of Beyoncé’s house, offering fans a quick glimpse of her kitchen, studio and awards room. Obviously, unless Queen Bey herself decides to tell us this is her house, we really have no way of knowing whether this is 100 percent authentic. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun imagining that it’s all true and this is indeed the music superstar’s home.
The video itself seems to have been removed already, because it’s basically impossible to find. The little information we have comes from screengrabs by others on social media. Despite the small amount of intel we have, there are a few highlights we need to get into.
The Wall of Grammys
We figured the 32-time Grammy winner either had one huge awards room, or her various trophies were spread out throughout the house. We weren’t expecting a literal wall of Grammys, but now that we’ve seen it, it makes perfect sense, and is the best part of this whole video.
In the Studio
There’s a short look at what seems to be the “Cowboy Carter” artist working in the studio. Beyoncé is known for releasing her music when she wants and how she wants. We don’t know how Julez got this footage past the family, but you know he landed in major hot water for it.
Speaking of hot water, who do you think was more upset at him for this video getting out into the world, his aunt Bey, his uncle Jay-Z or his grandmother Tina Knowles? Our money is on Ms. Tina. She epitomizes the Black grandma you absolutely do not want to make mad. Julez definitely got an earful.
As much fun as everyone is having with this, the clips’ sudden disappearance isn’t surprising to fans who know how quickly the “Renaissance” artist moves when it comes to videos or photos she’s not happy about. It led to humorous comments about how the world works on “Beyoncé’s Internet.”
One TikTok user wrote, “Julez messy self. He is a LIABILITY!” Someone replied to the post, commenting, “Beyoncé don’t play no games, she probably got that took down.”
Seeing how the Knowles-Carter family handles these type of situations, she’ll probably make a hilarious marketing or music video out of this whole thing and it once again control the narrative how she sees fit.
