Flavor Flav’s Christmas season is not getting off to a great start, as the Public Enemy rapper allegedly endured a sketchy experience at Wednesday (Dec. 4) at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in New York City.

On Wednesday, the veteran MC took to X, to share that he was kicked out of the Backstreet Boys dressing room at the event, although he was “escorted” to see them.

In a now-deleted post, he wrote, “I feel weird,,, I was invited to the Rockefeller Tree Lighting tonite and I was escorted to see my boys,,, THE BACKSTREET BOYS,,, and we were backstage in their dressing room,,, security came up to me and says @nbc does not want me in this area and I need to leave.”

The “Flavor of Love” star later described a confusing situation, adding that even though he was asked to leave, a “social media woman” still took a picture to capture the moment between Flav and the group.

He added in the post, “At the same time,,, their social media woman came up and asked to capture social content. What did I ever do to NBC or anyone,,?? All I ever do is try to spread joy and love,,, and I think I did that for NBC at the Olympics.”

He later wrote on X, “my spirit is broken.”

If you don’t recall, Flav was one of the many celebrities supporting Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics over the summer, particularly the Water Polo Team.

In May, team captain Maggie Steffans shared on social media that she and her teammates would need more financial support to help achieve their goals at the Olympics, saying that many of them work normal jobs and rely on sponsors to help pay for the entire trip.

Flav stepped up and sponsored the entire team and also became their official hype man, attending all of their matches.
