The โWildโN Outโ host recently said as much during a recent interview where he reflected on whether or not heโd be open to rekindling things with the โShake It Offโ singer.
โYes, absolutely. Iโd be stupid if I wouldnโt. We belong together,โ he told E! News while at the premiere for season two of Wonderyโs popular podcast video series, โWe Playinโ Spades.โ However, he later joked that she wouldnโt want him back due to him leaving and having a plethora of children after their divorce.
As you may recall, after six years of marriage, Nick and Mariah announced their split back in 2014. They share two children, 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, together while Nick has fathered eleven other children since then. When asked how all the motherโs of his children manage to get along, Nick explained that while he doesnโt have the expectation for all of them to do so, they actually all are doing so in an โamazingโ way.
โI think thatโs the thing that people might always think that it would be that. But itโs like everybody lives their own life, before me and after me,โ he said. โSo I think thatโs how you keep the peace and everybody moving, like everybody worried about themselves and not worried about what someone else is. As long as the kids are happy and they have the strongest understanding, I think thatโs what makes sense. You gotta operate out of that.โ
Circling back to his twins with Mariah, Nick joked that their joint parenting would โbe done soonโ as their kids are now teenagers and how he feels theyโre growing up โtoo fast.โ
Of course, this isnโt the first time Nick has feigned for his ex-wife. Explaining how she โsaved his lifeโ around the tie he found out about his Lupus diagnosis, Nick called the โAlways Be My Babyโ singer โthe perfect helpmate, the perfect matriarch, the perfect mom, the perfect wife in those scenarios.โ
