Here's an outstanding comment from Buzzonian trill, fran0495, regarding The Buzz's thoughts on Jonah Weiner's article on Slate regarding Barack Obama's presidency and what it will mean for the state of hip-hopracy:
I love that you draw attention to the obvious differences between Barack Obama and 50 cent. But the most glaring flaw in the slate article was the absence of any discussion of women in rap. Obama has an incredible wife and two daughters. Will his presence, their presence, have any influence on the way women are defined in rap music? On female rappers?
Paging Dr. Buzz, paging Dr. Weiner, you have a chin-checking waiting at the reception. Thank you. Great point, plain and simple.
